Superheroes

Tigers have been learning about different superheroes this half term.  We have looked at what superheroes are and the books Charlie and his superhero underpants and this week we have read Superhero Daisy and the peril of the planet pea.  As a result this week we made pea soup which nearly all the children tried- some liked some didn't!
We have made batman and spiderman masks.

As you can see mask making was very popular so more designs will be following soon.  Another chance to develop scissor skills and control and also fine motor control when colouring.
The role play area became a bat cave where you had to record what the problems were, then put on your mask and cape and off to the bat mobile.
Lots of interacting, imaginative play, speaking and listening and writing opportunities were had.
Outdoors the children made maps to show them the way to go.
Lots of superhero books have proved popular.
 Off to the rescue!
We have been doing lots of weighing activities this week comparing which are the heaviest and lighteset items.
Putting the superhero numbers back into the right order- they keep on moving!

Off on another mission....whatever next!!
