Lions and Leopards go to Longshaw

We had a great time on our trip to Longshaw and had a really lovely day despite the weather. The coach journey proved exciting enough on its own; especially when Mrs Lloyd saw a dinosaur in the field! When we arrived we went hunting for Boggarts in the moorlands. We had to look very carefully for places where the Boggarts might be hiding and collect things that we thought the Boggarts might have left behind as clues. Listening carefully for different sounds was very important as it may have been a Boggart in disguise!

We checked the trees to see if there were any Boggarts hiding. Using the reflections in our mirrors to look meant that the Boggarts didn't know we were trying to find them.

After lunch it was time to make our own Boggarts! First we needed to collect things from outside for our Boggarts to use as camouflage. We had lots of good ideas and managed to fill our bags right to the top. We also found good hiding places for Lions and Leopards!

Then it was time to make our Boggarts!

We made some fantastic Boggarts with excellent camouflaging! 

 Some of our Boggarts could swim in rivers and streams, others had wings so that they could fly. We even had a couple of princess Boggarts! Don't they look great!

Before we came back to school we had to go and put our boggarts in a safe hiding place. They will now work hard to protect our countryside!
