Last week Tigers looked at the story of the 3 Little pigs but also the story of the 3 Horrid pigs and the kind wolf which was very funny. Our role play became a builders yard (rather like the school at the moment!) We had some very skilled builders who managed to make houses big enough for our story bear to fit inside.
The children used a variety of tools to build walls, drill holes, measure how tall and long the wall was using rulers and tape measures. Make sure that the walls were straight and that they didn't have any gaps inside and then they had to paint them!
Do you like our pigs, wolves and houses?
The children are really starting to apply their phonic knowledge when writing now thinking carefully about the sounds they can hear in words and not needing as much support from an adult. Haven't they come a long way since the start of the year in Foundation 2?
