Shhh!

The Tigers have been looking at the book Shhh! this week.  It is a story about a giant who we must creep past so we don't wake him or his giant animals up. 
We have been ordering giants and castles of different sizes in the right order.  Measuring how many giant strides it takes to walk across the playground.

 

We have written about the story from pictures of the different characters.

We have made books where you have to enter through the giants castle door.  We are going to add flaps to see the giants mouse, cat and giant pet hen.

Do you like my giant model?

We made castle collages by ripping pieces of tissue paper and pasting onto paper for the background then we added shapes to form our own castles.  Using the metallic pens we added decorations and even stars!  This week we added more castles through painting with cotton buds using metallic and ready mix paint.  Don't they look lovely?
