Frost amazement

The cold spell has given the children some great opportunities to investigate ice crystals.  The children used magnifying glasses to get a closer look.  Overnight some wonderful patterns had formed in the sand tray too!  With snow reports on the horizon more great opportunities may be on their way!

It was great for carving patterns in with sticks and our fingers.

As snow was falling during the time we were outside the children were trying to make minature snowballs and they found brushes to sweep up the snow.
