Eggs and Chicks

Dave came to school this afternoon to show us different types of eggs and talk to the children about what animals they came from.

 Which bird do you think laid this egg?  We heard lots of strange noises coming from the corner of the room and we wondered what was making it.

 The children were amazed when they saw just how big this egg was!  Imagine making scrambled eggs with that!

 The moment we were all waiting for though was our 3 visitors!  They had very feathery legs and I think all the eager faces may have scared them a little bit at first.

 Don't they look gorgeous?  We took it in turns to stroke them very, very gently.

 We passed around the different eggs so we could compare how they looked different, were very different sizes too.  We tried to guess who had laid them too.
The teachers just want to know what Dave is going to surprise us by bringing next term!
